PERSONALITY:What impression does your character give when meeting someone for the first time? How does the first impression differ from your character’s true nature?
Gepard is the prestigious young Captain of the Silvermane Guards and belongs to the noble family of Landau who has served Belobog for centuries. He is well-dressed and well-mannered, honorable and upstanding and honest to a fault that he seems as unyielding and steadfast as his shield. Unlike his rebellious and free-spirit older sister, Gepard is level-headed, reliable and uncompromising, especially when in the line of duty of defending the city or when he's performing his obligations as the Captain of the Silvermane Guards. He does not slack off and takes his work very seriously, often putting it on high priority over everything else. This is his means of upholding the Landau family's ethos and his ideals as his own person, having assumed the long-standing Landau mantle of serving Belobog and its citizens.
Despite this outward appearance of strength and nobility, Gepard can be a little awkward. He has a soft spot for his sisters, often the subject of Serval's teasing, and cares and worries about them deeply. He gets excited over his drawings, feeling proud of his work (even if he doesn't have the eye or talent for it). He tries to raise flowers as a hobby, the effort praised by Pela (even if the said flowers die in his care). He absently hums Serval's songs, only to catch himself doing so, embarrassed. All this shows is an immensely kind and thoughtful young man who needs to hide his soft side beneath his stern, serious facade as the Guards' respected Captain. How does your character handle stress? What do they do in an emergency?
Once praised by Oleg himself for his quick thinking, Gepard often remains cool as ice under stressful situations. As the young Captain of the Silvermane Guards, he and his men are often thrust into dangerous circumstances against the Antimatter Legion while protecting the borders of Belobog. They often fight for survival, both for the people of Belobog and their own. And it's from these experiences, on top of the things he's learned in the military college, that he's learned how to organize his troops and manage their resources, delegating tasks and clear instructions to his men while taking the lead on the frontlines, even on short notice. Gepard is also quick to assess the situation in front of him, relying on his experiences and instincts and allowing him to take into consideration the various factors that could affect the battle and adjust his tactics and instructions accordingly.
This was showcased when he effectively marshaled the Silvermane Guards and cooperated with Wildfire for their intel and support during the monster invasion in the Great Mine, ensuring the rescue of many of the Underworlders. What are your character’s ambitions/goals? Why are they important to your character?
As a child of Landau, protecting Belobog and its people has always been Gepard's determination and calling. His promise to serve as Belobog's shield and to live and die with his comrades-in-arms were not simple, shallow words he made to prove his mettle to his family. Even when he rose to Captain of the Silvermane Guards, he has never once forgotten this promise and continues to uphold it to the best of his ability, whether it's leading the frontlines, personally overseeing the battle himself or even understanding the plights of his men, weary and exhausted from constant warfare.
In fact, it's these words that drive his resolve and strength of will to protect Belobog. So much so that even when questioned about his loyalty to the Supreme Guardian, Gepard maintains that he will disobey Cocolia if it means being able to protect the people. When he was made to stand atop the ramparts while his men line up in formation, he decided to step down from the ramparts and join his fellow Guards to defend the borders of Belobog. Gepard will always, always prioritize the people he swore to defend over everything else, as this is an oath that he's attested to Qlipoth themselves.
INVENTORY: His Silvermane uniform (Geomarrow armor, the actual uniform underneath it, cloak, boots) and his smartphone. If it's possible, I'd like for him also to have Earthwork, which is technically a guitar-case-turned-force-field generating-device made by Serval but without the modifications. So essentially, just a giant guitar case he carries around.
POWERS
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
PATH OF PRESERVATION. Gepard follows the Preservation Path, represented by the Aeon Qlipoth who strives to isolate and protect planets by erecting a barrier between them. Along the same line, all those who follow the path possess powerful defensive abilities to protect themselves and their allies in various ways. Gepard's ability is pretty straightforward, applying a shield to himself and all allies which absorbs damage from incoming enemies, making him one of the most useful members of the party.
The path also revives him when he's knocked down during the battle, restoring his energy and a part of his strength. I'll be completely nerfing this ability, however, since it's kind of ridiculous.
ICE MANIPULATION. As it says, Gepard has mastery over the element. This is usually manifested in the way he fights, his fists or Earthwork delivering punches and hits encased in ice. He can also slam Earthwork into the ground, casting ice damage to multiple enemies at once. This ability can literally freeze an enemy and prevent them from taking action.
MELEE COMBAT. Gepard literally fights with his fists, save for the instances where he uses his shield to hit people. As someone who's enlisted in the Belobog military since he graduated from university and rose to captaincy in the following years of his service, it's implied that Gepard can use the standard weapons of the Silvermane Guards: halberds, guns and hand cannons.
NERFING: At 20%, I'd imagine Gepard's shield as existing but breaking easily. It might keep a person safe if a small rock (palm-sized) is thrown at them, but it'll shatter if a bigger rock or a projectile weapon is hurled at them. His ice manipulation won't be able to freeze someone but maybe just make them cold (haha) like they stepped out during snowy weather wearing only a cotton shirt and jeans. As for his strength, which seems to be above average in the game, I'd say that it's going to be pretty average for a guy who works out and is part of the military a.k.a. it'll bruise or may knock a person out depending on who he's hitting (someone his own size or someone way smaller).
